About me: I’m a San Diego high school teacher, flamenco dancer, writer, and artist who speaks French, Mandarin, and Spanish and grew up making everything because I had eccentric and stubborn Renaissance immigrant parents. I also love the ocean, nature, and travel.

Some classes I offer are:

SEWING Bags, pillows, stuffed animals, costumes–I can teach you basic sewing skills by hand so you can size and customize your own projects. I’ve made everything from pillows and curtains to Halloween costumes (a six-armed Shiva, shaman, sphinx, mermaid, etc.) and flamenco dresses (including several for my daughter). The trick is to keep everything SIMPLE. I can give you ideas and help you design it!

LANGUAGES French, Mandarin, and Spanish are my specialities, including writing in Chinese characters. Again, the goal is to keep things simple but PRACTICAL, so you can use the languages right away for for restaurants, travel, friends, etc.

PARTIES Escape rooms, treasure hunts, Alice in Wonderland, Haunted Houses, neon paint glow parties…I’ve designed and ran them for both adults and children! And we made our own props!

UNDERWATER Snorkel and meet fish and sharks….or just meet them ARTISTICALLY. Check out my UNDERWATER PHOTO SHOOT and other underwater photos.

MUSIC I can teach you the basics of guitar and ukulele and how to sing at the same time.

ART From DIY fossils to clay sculptures and nature art, here are some projects I’ve done to keep me and the children busy! Also great for anyone’s anxiety and stress relief!
